About O Funnel Apparatus - Type I

Features

1.Funnel is cone shaped. Top diameter is 230 mm, bottom diameter is 50 mm, height is 550 mm
2.The cylindrical part is constituted by a duct (duct size ID is 50 mm ).
3.Two horizontal marks are set at respectively 3 and 38 cm from the bottom for the precise measurement of the flowing time
4.A trap door is set at the bottom of the duct. Two systems have been used on the different prototypes, a sliding trap or a spring falling trap with turn out to be of simpler use (see pictures)
5. A tripod to support the funnel with adjustable legs in order to have it leveled when making the measurement (can be set with a build in spirit level)
6. The respect of the dimensions is very important in order to have consistent values to compare (1 mm for the top diameter, 0.1 mm for the cylindrical part and 1 mm for the marks position).
7. The O funnel is fabricated from 304 grade stainless steel Material
